What to wear for Christmas | Sneakers Edition

Christmas is upon us and the world of sneakers is also preparing to face the holiday season, proposing the perfect releases for this period, in which everyone is said to become kinder and more generous.

Last year, Adidas paid homage to the Christmas holidays with a "Home Alone" themed Forum, an iconic film with which entire generations have grown up and which is still one of the most watched during the holiday season.
The protagonist himself wore these shoes for all the filming, so the brand thought of proposing them again this year in a suede version in shades of gray, to pay homage to the friendship between Kevin and the "pigeon woman" with which the boy in “Home Alone 2” has created a deep bond of friendship.

Adidas Forum 84 Low Home Alone 2, is therefore characterized by an upper in tone-on-tone gray leather and completed by linings with depictions of the "lady". Furthermore, by opening the straps, a touching detail emerges on the Velcro, namely an inscription that reads: "As long as we have our turtledove, we will be friends forever." Personalized graphic tags, Home Alone 2 labels on the tongue and interchangeable lace jewels complete it the design.

In this period, however, we must not forget those who do not like the Christmas holidays at all, and so precisely for those who do not feel this Christmas spirit alive, Nike and Adidas have thought of creating sneakers that recall the one who has always hated the holidays, the very famous Grinch.

The shoe faithfully reproduces the characteristic features of the imaginary character created in 1957 by the American writer and cartoonist Dr. Seuss and brings them back to the shoe which is then colored with shades of green. The hairy appearance of the Grinch is taken up by the suede that entirely covers the upper part of the shoe, while his eyes have been embroidered on the tongue. Characteristic of this shoe is also the Grinch-themed special box.

The Grinch-themed Nike proposal is more original. This Nike CPFM Flea 1 Cactus Plant Flea Market takes its real coat from the Grinch, presenting on the upper some ruffled hairs in green running that refer directly to the character, without losing those details that recall the previous model, such as the yin-yang patches on the side, CPFM embroidery on the right tongue and classic heatmap insoles.
