Rimowa

Founded in Cologne in 1898 by Paul Morszeck, Rimowa produced fabric bags and leather suitcases. In the mid-thirties the company is destroyed by a fire, all the materials used for its production go up in smoke except for aluminum calcium. Thanks to this apparent disaster, in 1937 Richard, his son, makes the first suitcase entirely in aluminum, light and resistant. This projects the brand to international fame. Since 2016 Rimowa is part of the French luxury group LVMH, which gives life to important collaborations with Supreme, Daniel Arsham and many others.
