Last June 23rd we witnessed the return of the iconic Nike Mac Attack OG, announced by a campaign starring Travis Scott and Jon McEnroe, legendary tennis player. In fact, this sneaker, released for the first time in 1984, was specially designed for McEnroe, who brought an unconventional design for a tennis shoe to the field, and which saw the alternation of silver panels with darker shades of gray, compared to all-white ones.
The new version of the Mac Attack takes up the original version in more detail starting from its coloring which sees the alternation of grey, black and white on the upper. Furthermore, the materials used are also a mix of leather and mesh, which however in the front of the sneaker we find slightly wider than the previous one.
The tongue, unlike the previous version which was in a tone-on-tone gray compared to the rest of the shoe, in this new version is white. The tag on it is always checkerboard with the word "Nike" in red, which is slightly larger in size in relation to the 1984 version.
In addition to the iconic OG colorway, the Nike Mac Attack has been revisited in a "Red Crush" colorway, with a white-based upper and red details, while the tag on the tongue alternates gray and white colors and the "Nike" writing in red.

Obviously this release cannot fail to be accompanied by new and stimulating collaborations. Out on July 14 is the Nike Mac Attack "Silver Linings", born from the union between Nike and Social Status, an underground store of streetwear apparel and accessories. The sneaker has a totally white upper, which alternates mesh and leather with a cracked look Characteristic of this new release is the ability to reveal a pink suede under the swoosh, heel and collar, which come in a silver colourway.
Even the choice of Travis Scott as the face for the relaunch of this sneaker is not entirely accidental. In fact, one of the next versions of Mac Attack will be directly the result of another collaboration between Nike and the rapper. The sneaker will most likely enter the market during the 2023 holidays.
So we just have to wait to discover the design of this super collaboration!
