Supreme has repeatedly demonstrated its attention to cinema and art, as in the case of the recent capsule collection dedicated to Aeon Flux. This new Supreme Spring / Summer 2022 collection, week 10, returns with a weekly drop dedicated to a cult film of independent cinema with the Supreme x Gummo capsule collection.

Gummo is a 1997 independent film, which marked the debut of the young director Harmony Korine. The film is grotesque and disturbing and is set in Xenia, Ohio, which was hit by a hurricane in 1974. The film tells the life of the citizens of Xenia after the catastrophe, in particular of a group of teenagers: all linked by boredom and violence caused by the hurricane.

To celebrate the collaboration between James Jebbia's brand and the director, this week the Supreme drop features soccer jerseys, t-shirts, hoodies and jackets featuring images from the cult film and graphics created by Harmony Korine. In the drop there is also the release of two skateboards with images from the film.
