The Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Xuanwu Year of The Snake was created to celebrate the Chinese New Year of 2025 and is dedicated to the deity "Xuanwu" often represented in Chinese mythology as a combination of a turtle and a snake. The sneaker features a black leather upper with embossed details that recall snakeskin, while the lateral swoshes and the heel have details that recall the shell of a turtle. Completing the design are traditional Chinese elements such as cranes, peaches and clouds that represent prosperity and harmony. Adding opulence, the Wings logo and lace tips feature 24K gold plating, making this release truly one-of-a-kind thanks in part to the limited release of just 3,399 individually numbered pairs.
