The New Balance 2002R "Triumph Green" blends traditional style with modern footwear technology. Ironically, the 2002Rs were introduced not in 2002, but in 2010 as part of New Balance's 1000 collection of high performance running shoes. As for the design, the "Triumph Green" uses a predominantly forest green suede construction. Subtle dark gray leather panels are located on the forefoot and center panel. A gray "N" logo resides on both sides and the "NB" insignia appears within the branding window on the back of the shoe. The "New Balance Running" branding on the tongue belies the model's performance roots. The ABZORB and ABZORB SBS cushioning in the midsole and heel of the shoe ensures optimal comfort for both performance and casual wear.
