Rolex Submariner

The Rolex Submariner is the diving watch par excellence, the explorer of the deep sea. Introduced in 1953, the Rolex Submariner is the first diving wristwatch that is waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. This model represents an exceptional technical advance in terms of water resistance, the first waterproof wristwatch in history, in 1926. The Submariner marked a historical turning point in the world of watchmaking, becoming the archetype of diving watches. Today, thanks to advanced watchmaking technologies, the Submariner is water resistant to a depth of 300 meters.

The Submariner's unidirectional rotating bezel is a key element, engraved with a 60-minute graduation - it is capable of providing the diver with an accurate and safe indication of dive times and decompression breaks. Made by Rolex in a particularly hard and corrosion-resistant ceramic, the Cerachrom bezel disc is virtually scratchproof and its color remains unaltered despite exposure to ultraviolet rays, seawater or chlorinated water.
