Originally released in 1991, Michael Jordan wears the J6 during his first NBA title. For his silhouette 6, Michael Jordan gives direct orders to have a clean toe, Tinker Hatfield then makes sure the sneaker has reinforcement around the area, making the AJ VI the first basketball shoe to feature one. His Airness also asks that the heel tab doens't hit his Achilles tendon, making Jordan 6 the first shoe to have a molded construction on the back. The final touch given by Tinker is the number "23" incorporated on the shoe.
