VLONE :
One of many projects derived from an A$AP MOB empire brand, VLONE is a streetwear fashion brand led by Jabari Shelton, better known as A $ AP Bari or Young Lord. The brand is also supported by A$AP Rocky and CLOT founder Edison Chen.
Vlone began to emerge on social media in 2013 and quickly gained notoriety after being worn by members of A $ AP and the likes of Ian Connor. Famous for its distinctive elongated logo and V-shaped imprint, the brand mainly produces simple streetwear items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts and headgear, but it has recently expanded into more elaborate designs.
Towards the end of 2016, VLONE began to disclose images of a pair of Nike Air Force 1. Premium leather in the black and orange color palette of the VLONE brand. The collaboration turned out to be one of the most anticipated sneaker versions of 2017, which unfortunately was no longer released due to unpleasant incidents involving the CEO of the brand from which Nike wanted to post.
In June 2017, A$AP Bari made a bold move when it announced that its brand would participate in the fashion runway of the Paris Spring / Summer 2018 week. The presentation, in the presence of the likes of Skepta, A$AP Rocky and Virgil Abloh, revealed a complete capsule that includes T-shirts, shirts, jeans, outerwear and accessories. Although the decision to participate in the fashion show in Paris was courageous for such a young brand, it seemed to reach the goal of A$AP Bari to establish VLONE as a serious fashion brand and in fact the label seems destined for a dizzying growth in the coming years.
