Nike Air Max 2090 Reverse Duck Camo

Nike Air Max 2090 Reverse Duck Camo 2020

Released during Nike Air Max Day 2020, the Nike Air Max 2090 Reverse Duck Camo is derived from a two-piece pack that also includes an Air Max 90. Both sneakers are inspired by Atmos' Air Max 90 collaboration since 2013, which featured a green and duck green camouflage print on the whole upper. Here, the motif is barely visible under a semi-transparent textile coating. Contrasting infrared pops appear on the tongue, quarter panel, heel and midsole.

Nike Air Max

It’s 1987, when Nike has had a real turning point: the idea behind the revolutionary Air Max was to make visible what had not been until then. Hatfield, having been an architect before becoming a “shoe designer”, was inspired by Georges Pompidou’s building in Paris to realize the project. Whose peculiarity consists in showing his structural elements such as stairs or beams on the outside .

The Air Max used a visible air cushion placed on the heel on the side of the midsole for many models. Nike initially expressed its doubts to the designer as he feared that the new air bag was too fragile and not very durable. Despite the company’s countless concerns, Hatfield made the Air Max 1 debut on March 26, 1987. The success was immediate, completely revolutionizing the world of footwear.
