Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Mag (US Charger)

Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Mag (US Charger). While many of us will never be able to own the Nike Mag, there's an alternative with the latest release of the Adapt BB 2.0.

The Nike Mag initially appeared in the late '80s as a prop for the cult-classic film Back to the Future: Part II before the brand released 1,500 pairs in a charity auction in 2011 and once again in 2016 limited to only 89 units.

Signature blue MAG paint splatters grace the sharply-shaped heel tab and midsole. On the midfoot, these splotches are overlaid by a semi-translucent grey plastic piece that guards the power lacing motor embedded in the midsole. This motor adjusts the shoe’s fit by tightening or loosening the aforementioned sheath. Moreover it can be controlled via the wearer’s iPhone or Android device. Manual adjustment is available as well thanks to the plus and minus buttons, which also light up in a customizable color palette.

Finally, the OG MAG’s lights are acknowledged by green, yellow, orange and red ovals around the forefoot’s Zoom Air graphic. If you flip the shoe over, you’ll see all of these tones again on the outsole, directly under where the Zoom Turbo cushioning unit is placed.
